Cult-favorite bagels made with a sourdough starter passed down by Japanese monks.
As Bagel Bunny expanded from pop-up events into retailers and bakeries, they needed a brand identity that could hold its own on a shelf. Distinctive enough to stop someone who'd never heard of them. The foundation was already there: original illustrations by founder Nori Smith that were playful, warm, and totally their own. Our job was to build a complete system around them.
The direction leaned into that hand-drawn, homemade feel with color and graphics tied to Nori's illustrations and individual bagel flavors, information presented in handwriting wherever possible. We extended the system across packaging, social assets, pop-up collateral, and apparel. Soft, playful, and slightly nostalgic. The kind of brand you pick up just to look at it more closely.
